The Serving Ministry has multiple opportunities for people to serve during the service on Sunday morning.
Serving Opportunities Include: Communion Meditation, Communion Prep, Communion Server, Fellowship Host, Greeter, Serving Coordinator, & Usher

The Music Ministry team works together in assisting the congregation in magnifying & honoring the name of God.

Youth Ministry Team

VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTION
Nursery Volunteer(s) are to provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for the children and their families.

WHEN: Sundays
TIMING: 9:45a-11:30a
The Catalyst/Kidsown Lead is responsible for preparing a Biblical lesson with supporting activities.
The Catalyst/Kidsown Assistant is there to help maintain a fun, focused, and safe environment during class and assist as needed.

TIMING: 4:45p-7:15p
Youth Group volunteers will either teach or help assist in providing a fun, engaging, and safe environment for students Grades 7-12th

WHEN: Wednesdays
TIMING: 5:30p-7:30p
Cross-Up volunteers will help lead or assist with weekly Cross up activities including meal, games, & lesson for students Grades 4th-6th.
Note: All Youth Ministry Team volunteers must be active with Cornerstone for at least 4 months, agree to our protection policy, and have a background check.

The Communion/Offering server is responsible for passing the plates in a respectful manner and assisting congregants as needed with the elements.

TIMING: Before Service
The Communion Preparation Volunteer is responsible that all trays are filled with the bread & fruit juice prior to service. This is vital position helping us remember & honor our Lord.

TIMING: 9:45a-11:30a
The Communion Meditation volunteer is responsible for providing a short (apx 5 min) devotion that will aid worshipers to focus on Jesus and their relationship to His death, burial, and resurrection.
This position is limited to Elders, Deacons, or past Elders or Deacons or individual exceptions approved by the current elders.

The Greeter welcomes members and guests on Sunday morning. They are the first impression when someone walks in the door.

The Fellowship Host is responsible for having coffee & any snacks ready in the fellowship area.
Note: This will likely be located upstairs in 2026.

The Usher is a huge part of our hospitality helping guests find seats and assist with vehicle as needed.

The Serving Coordinator is a key position that insures on Sunday morning that all roles on the Serving Ministry team is filled that Sunday before service.
Music Ministry Team

WHEN: Saturday & Sundays
TIMING:
Rehearsal: Typically Saturdays, 9:15a apx 1 Hour
Service: 9:45a-11:30a
Skilled Vocalists & Musician volunteers work together to provide worship music that is engaging and uplifting for the entire congregation. They work with the Lead Vocalist & Music Ministry Team Leader for song selection.
Rehearsal is required to serve on a given Sunday.

The ProPresenter & Camera Technician needs to operate the slides in a timely manner as well as make a few key camera adjustments for the live streaming service. This is a fun behind the scenes opportunity for anyone who likes technology or loves to learn.

The Sound Tech is responsible for making sure the sound system is operating properly and that both the in-person and online audience can hear clearly.
Other Ministry Oppurtunities

Time: 8:45a-10:00a
The Sunday School Teacher volunteer or substitute prepares a lesson for the appropriate age group that is engaging, biblical, & practical.
Note: All volunteers must be active with Cornerstone for at least 4 months, agree to our protection policy, and have a background check.

The Outreach & Missions team volunteers help us be a light in our community & the world to reach the lost.
This often includes “beyond the walls” serving opportunities includes special events such as Cornerstone Fun Fest & Community(Church Booth) Events.
Missions trips could also be a possibility with this team.

Volunteers on the safety & security team are skilled individuals who can help in the case of an emergency, medical, or safety concern on a Sunday morning or for special event.

The Facilities Team volunteers works to help make sure our facilities both indoors & outdoors are maintained and updated. All skill levels welcome.
