The Problem

Stacks Image 175
The Makua people of Nampula in Mozambique, Africa do not have clean water to drink, so they gather and drink the water from rivers. As a result, they contract water borne diseases and illnesses because of harmful bacteria pathogens. The typical life expectancy of these people is between 37 and 45 years of age while many children die of diarrhea, pneumonia, and malaria.

What Are We Doing About It?

Vision 360 Ministries is leading an effort to make clean water possible for the Makua people. This will be accomplished by establishing a facility at Hope Mission (located in Nampula) for the Makua people to manufacture a clay filter to be assembled into a Ceramic Water Filter (CWF) unit. Cornerstone Christian Church has accepted the call to help raise the funds needed for the purchase of the materials to build the equipment for this facility & the supplies to complete the CWF’s. For more information about the CWF and its life-changing application, click the image and visit PottersWithoutBorders and Spouts of Water.
