Worship Service (10:00 - 11:30 AM)
Our worship service at Cornerstone is a time for our members and guests to fellowship with one another and more importantly give glory to our Lord. Our worship starts with singing both contemporary songs and hymns. Next we worship Jesus through lifting our voices to him in prayer and supplication. This is lead by one of the church elders and a time of silence is left for the congregation to pray individually to God. After our prayer time, we worship Jesus through the Lord's Supper. This is done weekly so that we all have a chance to remember his sacrifice for us on the cross. We use unleavened bread to represent his body and grape juice, not wine, to represent his blood. We then worship God through the hearing of His Word to us. Our minister will give a sermon based on the Bible with an invitation to be baptized, be prayed for or counseled, or to declare membership. We conclude the service with a song of praise.
For those that need it, an infant room is available at the back of the auditorium. There is a rocking chair, changing table, crib, toys and books for you to use. This room has a door, large window for viewing the service and a speaker to help you hear what is going on during the service. This room is not staffed and is available to anyone who feels the need to use it during the Worship Service.
